Country Sales Director (Poland)

 a professional with high levels of drive and determination.

 

Basic functions:

 

Country Sales Director will be mainly responsible for generating business to the existing and future new BEST WESTERN hotel members in Poland. This role will be responsible for identifying, negotiating and managing relationships with all main market segment’s key clients: companies, business and group’s travel agents and international tour operators, as well as MICE organizers. Country Sales Director will strategize to identify, prioritize and pursue new and existing opportunities, as well as provide recommendations to the hotel’s managers that enable expansion into adjacent business areas. This position will also support existing hotels in main marketing activities in Poland and abroad, to generate ideas and initiatives that capitalize on existing and prospective strengths to

drive substantive, additional benefits to the properties. In particular situation this person will also help his CEO in activities related to attractive new members for BEST WESTERN chain in Poland.

 

After one-week professional training in Helsinki, Country Sales Director will cooperate strictly with hotel managers and reports directly to the CEO of BEST WESTERN for Finland, Poland and Baltic Countries.

 

Job description:

  • Professional representation of BEST WESTERN hotels in Poland by soliciting, responding to and negotiating key chain’s contracts
  • Engagement in day to day sales activities to attract new clients from business, group or MICE segments for all BEST WESTERN hotels in Poland
  • Make personal visits in target areas or key customers, call on companies and business
  • associations located in Poland (high percentage of travel)
  • Representation of BEST WESTERN hotels in significant interactions dealing with customers, relative to sales questions (i.e. RFP’s), concerns and issues
  • Attend industry and business events, conventions and tradeshows to generate more business for BEST WESTERN hotels
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and make recommendations of changes which would affect sales growth
  • Cooperate with marketing and PR agencies if necessary
  • Provide sales support and essential information about prevailing BEST WESTERN’S
  • procedures and standards to hotel general managers in Poland
  • Provide information about BEST WESTERN’S products and standards for potential investors willing to join BEST WESTERN hotel chain
  • To co-operate with the Best Western Team operating currently in Helsinki, Finland

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of sales background in hospitality business in Poland, with a proven successes
  • A broad understanding of all typical market segments (business, individuals, groups and
  • MICE) to be able dealing with them successfully and provide necessary sales support to the managers of BEST WESTERN hotels
  • National sales experience or working for international hotel chains on the similar positions will be an asset
  • Ability to identify and develop accounts, build and maintain relations with present and
  • potential clients
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, ability to cooperate with individuals
  • Good working knowledge of relevant legislation requirements in Poland
  • Strong sales skills, task oriented personality
  • Ability to act independently with minimal or almost no supervision
  • Perfect organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Creative and innovative way of thinking and acting
  • Highly developed presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel a lot
  • Fluent Polish and English
  • Higher degree
